One of my thesis is that to understand the operations of an Organization (NGO, in common parlance) working in India, one can (and probably, should) study the profile of its Donors. Since NGOs registered under FCRA rarely raise money from within India, either from private sources or through GOI (an assertion based on my empirical knowledge), their activities are highly likely to be mandated by their Donors. Hence, one needs to study the profile of the donors, their funding patterns, their websites, etc., rather than the objectives stated by the Indian NGO in its FC6 return.
In the following, I present data related to the multi-national organization called “Operation Mobilisation”. Since another Organization called Dalit Freedom Network had sent funds exclusively to OM-India (S. No. 1 below) and to no other Indian NGO, data from DFN is also provided.
As in the past, the data has been sourced from the FCRA database of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. I thank them for providing it in an open fashion, instead of having to go through RTI.
Operation Mobilisation (http://www.om.org) is an Organization involved in the following activities, according to its website: Evangelism, Relief & Development, Church Planting, Justice and Mentoring & Discipleship. In India, its postal address is “OM India, PO Box 2014, Secunderabad, 500 003, Andhra Pradesh”.
There appears to be another related Organization related to “OM India” (above) called “India Group of OM Ministries” whose address is Logos Bhavan, Jeedimetla village, Secunderabad, AP 500 067 India and whose website is: http://www.omindia.org
Operation Mobilisation exists in various countries. For instance, in USA, its website is at http://www.omusa.org and it introduces itself as “a Christian mission organization, inspiring and equipping believers to expand God's Kingdom.”
Dalit Freedom Network (DFN) is an organization, located in Washington DC, USA and whose website is: http://www.dalitnetwork.org. I learnt of DFN while reading the seminal book, “Breaking India” by Dr. Rajiv Malhotra and Shri. Aravindan Neelakantan.
There is a Good Shepherd Community Church located in the address as given in Organization No. 2 in the Table below. The Church's website is: http://www.gscchec.org/contact/index.php (Thanks to @chandrasuren for providing this information).
The following Table provides information on funds sent by any Organization which has the phrase “Operation Mobilisation” in its name to *any* Organization in India registered for FCRA. The data is for the year 2011-2012. Its worldwide location does not matter. In one instance, the donor was listed as “O M U K” . Since the address matched to that of Operation Mobilisation, UK, donation from this entry was also added.
Typographical errors are aplenty in the FC6 returns. I have faithfully reproduced them in the data below.
As is my practice, clicking on the name of the Organization in the Table will take you to the FC6 return filed by it to the FCRA wing of MHA. You can obtain more details from there.

Update on July 22, 2014
While working on another post, I learnt of the following which happen to be relevant to the current post and hence I am sharing it below:
- Dayspring Enterprises of India (DEI) is a NGO located in the same location as many Organizations discussed
above, i.e., DEI is located in Logos Bhavan, Jeedimetla as well. Its FC6 return for 2012-2013 can be found at: http://fcraonline.nic.in/fc3_verify.aspx?RCN=010230021R&by=2012-2013. A sum of about Rs. 1.5 Crore was received that year primarily from an Organization (likely to be its parent) called "Dayspring International" (DI) located in Virginia, USA and whose website is http://www.dayspringinternational.org
- DI, Virginia, apart from sending funds to DEI, Secunderabad also sends money to OM-India which can
be seen via OM-India's FC6 return http://fcraonline.nic.in/fc3_verify.aspx?RCN=010230255R&by=2012-2013
- All India Christian Council (AICC) also appears to be located in
the same Logos Bhavan, Jeedimetla. AICC's FC6 returns for the years 2009-2010, 2010-2011 & 2011-2012 are available on the FCRA website and the URLs are:
AICC has received funds primarily from Scandinavian countries.
- One page on the website of OM-India http://www.omindia.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=19&Itemid=27 lists AICC, GSCC, ICCS, OMCC, GSHI and OM-Books as "entities falling under the extended family of the India group of Operation Mobilisation Ministries"
